I bought ASIN: B0015YWKYY instead of this and it works fine for the past 3 months. Not worth the money.
However, this OPPO switch WILL switch back. I've been looking for an HDMI switch with prioritized ports for a very long time. It switches very quickly to whatever is turned on, however, if there is any fault with this switch it is that it's a tad bit slow switching back to my DVR (5-10 seconds).I would highly recommend this switch for anyone with a DVR and limited HDMI ports in their TV. Just hook up your DVR into port 3 (lowest priority).I've seen no degradation in signal, and it fully supports HDMI 1.3 and is fully HDCP compliant. For anyone who has a DVR, you'll discover that the HDMI port stays active. What this means is that if you hook up, let's say a DVD player with your DVR (Tivo's included), through a non-prioritized automatic HDMI switch, the unit will switch to the DVD when powered on, but will NOT switch back to your DVR when the DVD is switched off.
I only need to turn on any of the players or satellite box and the Switch recognizes it and send the signal to my receiver.Being HDMI 1.3 certified, none of the characteristics is lost (audio or video) and there are not handshaking problems.It is a bargain and a very good investment if you need to connect more HDMI equipment than the inlet connections that you have in your AV receiver or TV. I needed to expand the possibilities.It works in a transparent way. This product works according with the description.I needed it to connect several HDMI signals to my new Denon 7.1 receiver. It has two HDMI inlets and with Blu Ray player, a HD DVD player, satellite box, etc.
Got 6 remotes now. *sigh* Although it pains me to shell out money for a 15 device Logitech Harmony remote. Got it today. That does not include any XBOX360 remotes. I am thinking I see the need to get one in the very near future :)Currently wishing the XBOX360 had HDMI output. Hooked it up with HQ 1080P 1.3b cables from SF Planet (also bought at Amazon). Works perfectly.
It automatically switches between the two units, depending on which one is powered up at the moment.It passes the full 1080p stream to my Sony XBR flat panel.Awesome. I just hooked this up to switch between my XBOX 360 Elite and LG BG BD370.
